Senior ServiceNow App Engine Developer (DHS Public Trust)

Location: 100% remote, but candidates must reside and perform the work in the United States. Reston, Virginia is listed as the job location.

What you will do

• Design, configure, customize, and implement ServiceNow applications based on client business requirements.
• Develop and maintain complex scripts, business rules, UI policies, workflows, and scoped applications using App Engine.
• Support data migration from legacy systems and validate data structures, accuracy, and consistency.
• Assist with REST API integrations and end-to-end process implementation across systems.
• Test configurations, troubleshoot incidents and problems, and resolve implementation issues.
• Document technical decisions, support user training and change management, and mentor associate developers.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required.
• Must reside and work in the United States.
• Must be able to obtain a DHS Public Trust clearance.
• 6+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience implementing ServiceNow solutions.
• 1+ years of experience developing scoped or custom applications with App Engine.
• Experience with JavaScript, GlideScript, workflow configuration, business rules, ServiceNow integrations, and ITSM/ITIL principles.

Nice to have

• Active DHS Public Trust clearance.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification.
• Experience with Portal customization, Agile Scrum, complex scripting, REST API integrations, and advanced workflow customization.
