Machine Operator (6-12 Months)

Location: Markham, Ontario, Canada; onsite production-floor work

Salary: CAD 18.50 per hour, plus applicable shift premium

What you will do

• Set up, start, shut down, and operate machines used to personalize plastic payment cards.
• Load and select production files, split files, run jobs, and inspect initial cards for each startup.
• Verify card, carrier, data, embossing, and document control specifications while minimizing scrap.
• Count and balance cards, record meter readings and production data, and close jobs in SAP and BOWE 1.
• Change machine supplies, reload files for remakes, and act as backup for other card-personalization machines.
• Maintain a clean work area and follow environmental, health, safety, and quality procedures.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of machinery experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
• Completed high school diploma; post-secondary education is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, multitask, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Must possess Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status, or a valid Canadian work permit.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs, stand for long periods, and work with prolonged computer and card-inspection tasks.
