Program Manager, Public Sector Energy Efficiency

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States; candidates must be based in California. Remote office arrangement with up to 20% local travel in Southern California and a reliable vehicle required.

Salary: $89,261–$151,744 per year.

What you will do

• Support the successful delivery of public sector energy efficiency programs across Southern California.
• Build and manage relationships with customers, building owners, property managers, developers, and community stakeholders.
• Manage subcontractors, milestones, program plans, schedules, and corrective solutions.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, program costs, budgets, forecasts, contract deliverables, and performance.
• Collaborate with regional and national teams to apply best practices and improve program efficiency.
• Analyze market trends and technologies to identify opportunities for program advancement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Energy, Sustainability, Public Policy, Business, or a related field; related experience may substitute for education.
• 5+ years of project management experience in energy efficiency, utility programs, public sector, or a related area.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and successful completion of an MVR check required.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, written communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong management skills and the ability to lead teams and build partnerships at all levels.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.

Nice to have

• Experience with public sector energy efficiency and demand-side management programs.
• Expertise in consulting, business management, energy resources, or energy policy.
• Knowledge of building science.
• Certifications such as BPI, PMP, or CEM.
• Professional affiliations such as AESP, ACEEE, ASHRAE, or AEE.
