Senior Software Engineer (Typescript), AI Clients: Duo CLI

Location: Remote in Poland or the United Kingdom

What you will do

• Design, develop, roll out, and evolve hirify.global Duo CLI features from problem definition through iteration.
• Build interactive terminal experiences in TypeScript with thoughtful command and flag design, clear output formatting, scripting-friendly behavior, and backward compatibility.
• Improve CLI reliability, observability, performance, and technical debt management using measurable product metrics.
• Make architectural decisions and align technical direction with Product, Design, Developer Clients, and AI Clients teams.
• Champion product quality, security, and developer experience through code reviews and mentorship.
• Contribute to IDE extensions, including the JetBrains plugin in Kotlin and the VS Code extension in TypeScript, when needed.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and interest in developer tooling and command-line interface design.
• Experience building or maintaining command-line tools or other developer-facing tooling.
• Experience owning technical problems end to end, making architectural trade-offs, and guiding engineers through reviews and mentorship.
• Clear written and spoken English communication skills required.
• Comfort working in a fully remote, largely asynchronous environment.

Nice to have

• Experience developing JetBrains plugins in Kotlin or VS Code extensions.
• Understanding of the Language Server Protocol, language servers, or editor integrations.
