Senior Software Engineer - Javascript & AI

Location: Flexible hybrid or remote work, with office hubs in Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester, London and Bulgaria; occasional travel to client sites or CreateFuture offices may be required.

What you will do

• Support the Principal Engineer in exploring technical opportunities across CMS, web and marketing platforms.
• Explore and prototype proof of concepts, turning promising ideas into practical options.
• Investigate agentic opportunities and identify where AI can create meaningful value.
• Help modernise the CMS capability by clarifying team responsibilities, dynamics and the roadmap.
• Identify ways to refocus CMS work on higher-value marketing outcomes and make operations more scalable and manageable.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to shape pragmatic technical approaches.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering experience with JavaScript.
• Experience or interest in building modern web platforms.
• Comfort exploring new technologies and working through ambiguity.
• Interest in AI and agentic approaches, with curiosity about practical applications.
• Ability to work closely with a Principal Engineer and wider stakeholders to challenge assumptions and shape technical direction.
• Focus on scalable, manageable solutions and higher-value outcomes.
