Senior Roadway Design Engineer (Civil Engineering)

What you will do

• Design and detail local, county, and state roadway and highway improvement projects.
• Develop typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections.
• Prepare design documentation, plans, reports, and quantity calculations.
• Perform geometric analyses, engineering calculations, and estimates using established criteria and standard software.
• Collect and process topographic survey and right-of-way engineering data for design analysis.
• Monitor compliance with applicable codes and engineering practices while reporting to the project manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum four years of transportation engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency with MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil3D.
• Ability to work in office and field environments, including occasional exposure to inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazards, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water.
• Ability to perform the listed physical duties and occasionally operate a company vehicle or handle loads up to 35 pounds.
