Transportation Principal Engineer

Location: Walnut Creek, California; onsite and office/field environment

Salary: $180,000–$260,000+ per year

What you will do

• Lead roadway improvement projects from conceptual design through preliminary, intermediate, and final design phases to construction.
• Manage schematic and PS&E plan preparation for roadway projects.
• Prepare project and task-order scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Oversee roadway, highway, and traffic engineering designs.
• Support business development, proposal efforts, and project pursuits in coordination with client account management leads.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• At least 15 years of transportation engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil3D.
• Ability to work onsite between office and field environments in Walnut Creek, California.
• Ability to meet physical demands, work in variable field conditions, and occasionally operate a company vehicle or handle loads up to 35 pounds.
