Engineering Delivery Manager (Defence Systems)

What you will do

• Define and lead engineering strategy, planning, and delivery across the full project lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary engineering teams and align delivery with time, cost, and quality objectives.
• Oversee requirements, systems integration, verification, and validation activities.
• Manage engineering governance, including design reviews, certification, and technical approvals.
• Coordinate engineering work across internal teams, suppliers, partners, and customers while resolving risks and technical challenges.
• Support programme leadership with risk, opportunity, and stakeholder management.

Requirements

• Experience in engineering delivery or project leadership within defence, aerospace, or safety-critical environments.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and complex system development.
• Experience across the full systems or engineering lifecycle, from requirements through verification and validation.
• Ability to manage technical risk, cost, and schedule in structured programme environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience from a relevant technical military background.
• Willingness and eligibility to obtain SC security clearance, including completion of Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.

• Experience defining engineering strategy, work breakdown structures, and delivery frameworks.
• Knowledge of systems engineering principles and governance processes.
