Product Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Chicago, IL (on-site)

Base Compensation: $90,000–$140,000 per year plus performance bonus

What you will do

• Own product features from requirements gathering through production deployment.
• Translate business requirements and user needs into detailed technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and maintain software across web and API platforms.
• Create and execute manual and automated testing strategies.
• Use AI tools and methodologies to improve development and testing processes.
• Build data collection, analysis, and reporting features while collaborating with design, sales, operations, and compliance teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of full-stack software development experience.
• Experience with modern web frameworks, APIs, and database technologies.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and manual QA processes.
• Basic understanding of product management principles, user experience, data analysis, and AI/ML concepts.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, and prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Interest in fintech and familiarity with compliance requirements.
