Software Engineer - Product (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, CA; New York, NY; Portland, OR; or remote within the United States or Canada

Salary: US employees: $122,400–$158,400 USD base salary; Canadian employees: $115,700–$149,700 CAD base salary. Total rewards also include equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and ship product experiences for Mercury’s banking, everyday experiences, expansion, or risk product groups.
• Take ownership of small and medium-sized projects in an autonomous environment.
• Partner closely with designers and product leaders to create user-focused fintech products.
• Develop backend or full-stack features and help shape future product direction.
• Use AI tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and solve difficult problems.

Requirements

• 1–4 years of backend or full-stack development experience.
• Knowledge of, or enthusiasm to learn, Haskell, React, TypeScript, and Redux.
• Experience building and shipping new products with a product-minded approach.
• Strong user empathy, communication, collaboration, and tradeoff-management skills.
• Ability to work from the United States or Canada, including the listed office locations for onsite work.
