Systems Engineer – Space Systems Verification

Location: Hybrid in Tres Cantos, Madrid, Spain; includes up to 8 weeks per year of teleworking outside the usual geographical area.

What you will do

• Manage and monitor requirements, including identification, traceability, review, and control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor verification activities while maintaining traceability between requirements, evidence, and results.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, project status reports, and monitoring reports.
• Coordinate technical activities across disciplines, customers, and subcontractors.
• Participate in formal reviews and milestones such as CDR, FAT, SAT, and QR, and follow up on resulting actions.
• Support reviews, audits, and continuous improvement of engineering processes, methodologies, and tools.

Requirements

• University degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
• Interest in systems engineering, requirements management, and space systems verification.
• Ability to work with requirements, technical documentation, and structured processes.
• Knowledge of requirements traceability and verification and validation processes.
• Strong organisational, communication, information analysis, and teamwork skills.
• English proficiency sufficient for effective work in an international European environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in quality assurance, document management, technical coordination, or project monitoring.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and regulated or high-criticality environments.
• Experience with project and document management tools, KPI analysis, and monitoring automation using Python, Excel, AI, or similar tools.
