Systems Engineer (Functional Safety) (Motion Control): Defining safe, reliable, and high-performance motion control products for industrial and medical applications with an accent on system requirements, architecture, and functional safety. Focus on developing safety concepts, performing FMEA/FMEDA/FTA/DFA analyses and SIL/PL calculations, and supporting validation and certification readiness.

What you will do
- Develop system requirements, architectures, functional decompositions, and requirements traceability across the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, mechanical, quality, and product teams on implementation and verification.
- Define functional safety requirements, safety concepts, diagnostics, and safety-related architectures.
- Perform FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA, failure-rate, reliability, and SIL/PL-related safety calculations.
- Support functional safety assessments, certification activities, validation, and preparation of safety documentation and customer guidance.
- Improve engineering procedures, tools, workflows, and practices for controlling systematic failures.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, embedded systems, functional safety, or related product development.
- Experience with requirements management tools and electronic design involving embedded hardware and software.
- Functional safety experience at application or end-product level, ideally in robotics or automation.
- Knowledge of IEC 61508 and ISO 13849, plus experience with FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA, PFH, MTTFd, DC, and SFF.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
Nice to have
- TÜV Functional Safety Engineer certification or equivalent.
