Senior AOCS/GNC Engineer (Space Technology)

What you will do

• Design and develop AOCS/GNC subsystems for satellite missions.
• Develop and verify guidance, navigation, and control algorithms and related software.
• Perform AOCS/GNC analyses and simulation campaigns using Matlab/Simulink or comparable tools.
• Build and maintain analysis and simulation tools.
• Support satellite projects from early studies and proposals through development, verification, and customer acceptance.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and design justifications while collaborating with international engineering teams.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or an equivalent field.
• 5+ years of experience in the space industry.
• Hands-on experience with AOCS/GNC subsystems and software.
• Strong knowledge of estimation and control theory, with experience in analysis, simulation, verification, or algorithm development.
• Good knowledge of Matlab/Simulink or comparable tool suites.
• Fluency in spoken and written English, an EU passport, and the ability to work onsite in Friedrichshafen are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of German.
