Senior Digital IC Engineer (AI)

Location: Berkeley, California, United States — onsite

Salary: Up to $250,000 base salary plus founding equity.

hirify.global is working with an early-stage semiconductor startup developing a new photonics-and-silicon computing architecture for AI infrastructure.

What you will do

• Design RTL for next-generation AI hardware.
• Own digital implementation from RTL through synthesis, timing analysis, and physical implementation.
• Take digital designs through tape-out and bring up silicon in the lab.
• Debug real hardware and support gate-level simulation.
• Collaborate with architecture, photonics, packaging, and physical design teams.
• Help establish and scale the company's digital IC capability.

Requirements

• Production RTL design experience for ASIC or SoC projects.
• Hands-on experience with synthesis, static timing analysis, and digital implementation.
• Experience taking digital designs through tape-out and silicon bring-up.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end digital IC design flow.
• Experience with Verilog or SystemVerilog, place and route, and gate-level simulation.
• A builder's mindset and ability to own problems across multiple disciplines.

• Experience with advanced process nodes.
