Design Verification Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site at the Sunnyvale office, Sunnyvale, California, United States

Salary: $250,000–$300,000 annually, plus potential bonus and equity

What you will do

• Partner with architects, designers, post-silicon, software, firmware, physical design, and validation engineers to deliver designs that work on first silicon.
• Develop verification strategies, detailed tests, coverage plans, and reusable verification environments based on microarchitecture.
• Build stimulus, checkers, assertions, and coverage components using SystemVerilog, DPI, and UVM.
• Implement tests, manage regressions, collect coverage, and debug failures across simulation, emulation, and silicon bring-up.
• Improve verification infrastructure, flows, methodologies, and organization-wide best practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of design verification experience, including substantial hands-on work.
• Deep knowledge of SystemVerilog testbenches, DPI, and UVM.
• Strong programming skills, object-oriented design knowledge, and software engineering practices.
• Experience developing scalable, portable testbenches and verification components.
• Experience with simulators, waveform viewers, build and run automation, coverage collection, regressions, and gate-level simulations.
• Proficiency in Python or Perl, with strong debugging, problem-solving, collaboration, and self-motivation skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of pipelined processor architecture.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
