Tactical Buyer (Mechanical Components) (Procurement and Supply Chain): Supporting sourcing, supplier development, cost optimization, and new product introduction projects for mechanical components and packaging with an accent on RFQ management, supplier qualification, and manufacturing requirements. Focus on analyzing quotations, negotiating with suppliers, reducing costs, monitoring supplier performance, and coordinating cross-functional sourcing activities.

What you will do
- Support category and sourcing strategies for mechanical components and packaging.
- Manage RFQ activities, including supplier identification, quotation analysis, commercial evaluation, and sourcing recommendations.
- Support new product introduction and second-source implementation projects.
- Prepare analyses for supplier negotiations, cost reduction, value engineering, and market evaluation.
- Monitor supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost, capacity, and supply continuity.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Production, and Supply Chain teams while maintaining supplier and pricing data in ERP and procurement systems.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain, preferably in manufacturing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- Experience with RFQs, supplier quotation evaluation, sourcing decisions, negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes including CNC machining, anodising, stamping, forging, die casting, extrusion, and assembly.
- Strong analytical, commercial, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English required; approximately 20% domestic and international travel expected.
Nice to have
- Experience procuring corrugated and printed packaging, labels, inserts, foams, and protective packaging.
- Knowledge of packaging development, print technologies, sustainability initiatives, and packaging project coordination.
