Global Category Manager (Cabinets)

Location: Hybrid role based in Aleksandrow Lodzki, Lodz, Poland

What you will do

• Manage the cabinets category and related parts for hirify.global’s Traction Division.
• Plan and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business requirements.
• Build and manage a capable supplier base, assessing quality, delivery, cost, sustainability, capacity, and capability.
• Negotiate project pricing, sourcing framework agreements, and supplier price lists.
• Identify and deliver cost reduction and cost avoidance opportunities with Engineering and Product Management.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and stakeholders across Engineering, R&D, Product Management, Project Management, Supplier Quality Management, and Operative Procurement.

Requirements

• University degree in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in strategic category or sourcing management with an affinity for mechanical components, or at least 10 years of mechanical engineering experience with commercial expertise.
• Experience in sourcing and supplier management for mechanical components.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost optimization.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, strategic sourcing, and supply chain management skills.
• Fluent English required; proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems such as SAP.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cabinets and railway industry products.
• German language skills.
