Junior Data Migration Engineer (SQL)

Location: Westlake, Texas or Merrimack, New Hampshire; day-one onsite with a hybrid schedule

Salary: $56,186–$87,556 yearly

What you will do

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Extract, transform, and load data for migration projects.
• Define data mappings and transformation rules under senior engineering guidance.
• Execute data validation and reconciliation checks and resolve data quality issues.
• Collaborate on migration testing and document processes, runbooks, and playbooks.

Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex queries and SQL performance tuning.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, data platforms, databases, and data modeling.
• Experience with large datasets, complex system design, and public cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with distributed application design and development using Java, .NET, or Python.
