Senior Software Engineer (C#/.NET)

Location: Hybrid, based at the global headquarters in Nänikon-Greifensee, Canton of Zurich, Switzerland

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain software across automated laboratory reactor products.
• Develop touchscreen terminal, web-based experiment, local instrument control, and service support software.
• Translate evolving requirements into clear technical solutions and identify risks and dependencies.
• Contribute to agile planning, refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with product owners, domain experts, engineers, and distributed stakeholders across locations and time zones.
• Own technical areas, mentor teammates, and strengthen engineering practices and standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience and strong programming fundamentals.
• Deep experience with C# and .NET.
• Experience developing software integrated with hardware or embedded systems, including hardware abstraction and communication protocols.
• Experience across platform software, web development, and desktop Windows applications.
• Strong Azure DevOps experience with backlog management, source control, build pipelines, and deployment pipelines.
• Fluent English in oral and written communication is required. Experience with structured data, distributed agile teams, stakeholder collaboration, ownership, and mentoring is expected.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with lab automation, scientific instrumentation, or industrial automation.
• German language skills.
