Staff Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Geneva, Switzerland; on-site with anchor days on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Candidates must be based in Geneva or be willing to relocate to Switzerland.

What you will do

• Collaborate with UX designers, Product Management, and engineering teams to deliver robust security features and an effective user experience.
• Own squad deliverables and drive sprints through successful completion.
• Architect and guide on-premises and AWS cloud applications.
• Oversee feature deployment, production monitoring, and troubleshooting of live issues.
• Mentor engineers, remove blockers, and contribute to short- and long-term team goals.

Requirements

• More than 8 years of software engineering experience, including work as a Tech Lead, Staff Engineer, or Software Architect.
• Strong Java proficiency and a commitment to Clean Code and rigorous software quality standards.
• Experience architecting cloud-native applications and working with relational databases such as Postgres and SQL.
• Hands-on Identity and Access Management expertise, including OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, JWT, and SCIM.
• Experience mentoring engineers and independently driving complex, cross-functional subjects to completion.
• Proficiency in working with and steering AI coding tools such as Codex and Claude.
