Staff Software Engineer (OT/IoT Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Lead the design and evolution of large-scale distributed systems powering the cybersecurity platform.
• Drive architectural decisions focused on scalability, performance, maintainability, and long-term platform evolution.
• Own cross-team initiatives and mission-critical features from concept through production.
• Identify and reduce technical debt while improving reliability and developer productivity.
• Mentor engineers and establish high standards for software design, code quality, testing, observability, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with Product, SRE, and Security teams in an agile, cross-functional environment.

Requirements

• Extensive experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Strong expertise in at least one of Golang, C++, or Ruby.
• Proven technical leadership beyond team boundaries, including mentoring and architectural influence.
• Deep understanding of system design, algorithms, data structures, backend architectures, APIs, and service-oriented systems.
• Experience with automated testing strategies, including TDD, BDD, and integration testing.
• Knowledge of Agile development, PostgreSQL, data modeling, and networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP and UDP.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
• Strong PostgreSQL and data-modeling experience.
