What you will do
- Design, build, and scale distributed backend systems serving millions of users.
- Own feature delivery from architecture and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
- Architect low-latency APIs and services for AI-driven conversational experiences in Assist.
- Develop cloud-native Java services and infrastructure using AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes or ECS.
- Build distributed data and real-time processing components with strong fault tolerance, availability, and compliance.
- Set technical direction and collaborate with product, infrastructure, and engineering teams on complex decisions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in modern Java 17+ and experience designing high-throughput systems for millions of users.
- Experience with AWS or similar cloud-native architectures, Docker, and Kubernetes or ECS.
- Experience with distributed data systems such as Redis and Apache Kafka.
- Exposure to LLM integration, including prompting, evaluation, and observability.
- Strong English communication skills required, with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly.
Nice to have
- Experience with Micronaut or Spring.
- Python development experience.
- Performance tuning and scaling in high-throughput environments.
- Familiarity with GitOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
