RME Planner - Technician (Material Handling Equipment)

What you will do

• Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot material handling equipment, automated packaging and distribution systems, conveyors, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and pneumatic systems.
• Complete preventive and predictive maintenance routines and document labor, equipment maintenance, and parts usage in work orders.
• Receive, label, store, kit, stage, count, and manage spare parts and site inventory in APM and related systems.
• Support vendor management, warranty claims, RMAs, procurement activities, purchase-order updates, and asset or building-management projects.
• Promote safe operations, maintain working relationships across the facility, and mentor junior technicians.
• Work approximately 50% of the time in technician responsibilities, with additional RME planning and inventory deliverables.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience repairing material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems and controls.
• At least 2 years of experience performing predictive and preventive maintenance.
• At least 1 year of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics, plus knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
• Experience with a computerized maintenance management system and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and perform physical tasks including climbing, kneeling, using aerial lifts, wearing PPE, and frequently lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or higher in a mechanical or electrical field.
• Experience with MHE safety standards, robotic operation and maintenance, and basic input/output troubleshooting.
