Senior Mechatronics and Robotics Technician

Location: Lima, Ohio, USA; onsite warehouse and facility environment

Salary: $30.37–$35.73 per hour

What you will do

• Lead service technicians in installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging, distribution, and conveyor equipment.
• Troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, PLC controls, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, and solenoids.
• Design solutions for difficult maintenance problems and manage related projects.
• Create, assign, and close work orders with labor, equipment maintenance, and parts data in the CMMS.
• Lead and audit preventive maintenance procedures while promoting a safe working environment.
• Train and mentor junior and contract technicians and coordinate with vendors and facility operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of experience with material handling equipment, automated conveyors and controls, preventive maintenance, and blueprints or schematics.
• At least 3 years of experience with a computerized maintenance management system and 2 years of experience with PLC programs.
• Experience leading, training, and mentoring less experienced technicians, plus vendor management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Ability to work flexible schedules and shifts and perform physical warehouse work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, using aerial lifts, and wearing required PPE.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or higher in a mechanical or electrical field from a vocational school or college.
• Experience operating and maintaining robotic systems.
