Commercial Counsel (Technology)

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate vendor, supplier, services, licensing, procurement, sales, NDA, and other commercial agreements.
• Advise internal stakeholders on contract terms, legal risks, approval requirements, and company policies.
• Identify non-standard terms and help develop practical, risk-based resolutions.
• Support the full contract lifecycle, including approvals, execution, amendments, renewals, and archiving.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Procurement, Sales, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, and Information Security.
• Support templates, playbooks, training, audits, process improvements, and coordination with outside counsel.

Requirements

• Law degree or equivalent legal qualification, with admission to practice law in Singapore or another relevant jurisdiction.
• Approximately 5–8 years of post-qualification transactional legal experience.
• Experience with commercial contracts, technology transactions, procurement, sales, licensing, or cross-border matters.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, issue-spotting, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and collaborate across regions, functions, sites, and time zones.

Nice to have

• Experience advising technology, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, or sales teams.
• Familiarity with Singapore, APAC, and global commercial legal issues, including data privacy, trade compliance, anti-corruption, and competition law.
• Experience with CLM platforms, Microsoft Office 365, AI tools, legal technology, automation, or process improvement.
