Senior Legal Consultant

Location: Must be based in China, Vietnam, or Singapore. No relocation assistance provided.

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts across manufacturing, procurement, sales, and marketing within the APAC region.
• Provide critical legal support for the newly established factory in Vietnam, ensuring alignment with local regulatory frameworks.
• Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle for sales and other regional agreements.
• Standardize contracting processes by developing playbooks, templates, and negotiation guides.
• Oversee corporate secretarial matters and entity governance for legal entities across APAC.
• Drive legal operations initiatives including automation, contract analytics, and the integration of legal tech and AI solutions.

Requirements

• Strong experience in drafting and negotiating diverse commercial contracts.
• Expertise in Vietnamese law and the local regulatory framework.
• Proven track record in managing contract lifecycle processes.
• Experience with corporate secretarial duties and jurisdiction-specific compliance.
• Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
• Valid work authorization for China, Vietnam, or Singapore.

Nice to have

• Experience working within a Vietnam-based manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience in a corporate legal department or a law firm.
• Familiarity with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools.
• Working proficiency in Vietnamese.
