Head of Impact (AI)

Location: Remote; Toronto, Brussels, or San Francisco

What you will do

• Develop and implement a measurable ESG strategy covering environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and governance.
• Establish and manage Cohere’s philanthropic foundation, including giving priorities and strategic partnerships.
• Lead philanthropy, research collaboration, and engagement with universities.
• Create and scale employee giving, volunteering, and community engagement programs.
• Develop impact frameworks and KPIs for ESG performance, philanthropic outcomes, and employee engagement.
• Ensure compliance with ESG regulations and reporting standards while communicating responsible AI impact strategies.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in ESG, sustainability, impact management, or philanthropy leadership.
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role.
• Experience developing ESG strategies in technology or enterprise software companies.
• Experience establishing and managing philanthropic foundations or corporate giving and employee volunteer programs.
• Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, reporting standards, and relevant regulations.
• Advanced degree in business, sustainability, social impact, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
