Cybersecurity Engineer (Cross Domain Solutions)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States

Salary: $150,000–$190,000 per year, depending on relevant experience, location, and other factors.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures aligned with Department of Defense and Air Force guidance.
• Prepare and manage Authorization to Operate and Authorization to Connect documentation, including System Security Plans, Security Control Traceability Matrices, and Security Assessment Reports.
• Coordinate cybersecurity requirements with international and coalition mission partners to support secure bi-directional data exchange.
• Perform system hardening, patching, vulnerability scans, and remediation using tools such as Nessus and Tenable Security Center.
• Execute incident response procedures, review audit logs, and identify anomalies, misconfigurations, and potential security violations.
• Support continuous monitoring, POA&M and waiver management, accreditation, and compliance with RMF controls and DoD directives in coordination with the ISSM.

Requirements

• US citizenship required.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7–10 or more years of relevant experience, including hands-on experience with Cross Domain Solutions.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus or Tenable Security Center.
• Knowledge of RMF, DoD cybersecurity policies, AFI 17-101, NIST 800-53 controls, information assurance, and network and system architecture.

Nice to have

• Experience with Mission Partner Environments, bi-directional Cross Domain Solutions, international data-sharing standards, or coalition interoperability.
• Experience with NATO-aligned cybersecurity frameworks, NSA Raise-the-Bar standards, or DoD Foreign Disclosure Officers.
• Familiarity with Juniper network equipment, firewall configurations, DoD data classification policies, information protection procedures, or JSIG requirements.
