Location: Los Angeles, California; hybrid workplace with onsite work at client and partner sites

Salary: $166,000–$182,000 per year

What you will do

• Prepare pre-design cost estimates based on project scope and type.
• Prepare construction cost estimates from drawings, outlines, and specifications.
• Lead a team of estimators on complex engineering and construction assignments.
• Review contractor and consultant cost proposals.
• Negotiate change orders and reconcile independent estimates with contractor proposals.
• Work onsite with clients and partners to support project delivery and client relationships.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of estimating experience across engineering and construction projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Certified estimating professional credential required.
• Experience producing accurate estimates from technical drawings, outlines, and specifications.
• Ability to work onsite at client and partner locations.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Prolog and other project management systems.
• Experience managing a team of cost estimators.
• Experience with complex estimate reconciliations and change order negotiations.
• Experience obtaining independent vendor and contractor estimates.
• Experience working with agencies such as FAA, LADBS, and LADWP.
