Lead Cost Manager (Infrastructure & Capital Projects)

Location: Remote, based in Ocoee, Florida, with approximately 80% domestic travel required to meet client needs.

What you will do

• Develop detailed cost plans and estimates with clients, accounting for site layouts, conditions, constraints, and project requirements.
• Review and present cost estimates, cost plans, and high-level cost advice to clients and senior leadership.
• Report estimated costs against budgets and prepare financial analyses, risk assessments, contracts, and project documentation.
• Evaluate bids, negotiate costs, review change orders and proposals, and manage the post-contract process.
• Track design changes, update budgets, oversee pre-contract activities, and monitor internal resource allocation.
• Lead client meetings and ensure agreed actions are completed after meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• At least five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in cost management.
• At least five years of experience applying construction technologies, sustainability considerations, and cost-impact analysis.
• At least five years of experience preparing cost reports and budgets using CMiC, MS Excel, Procure, or CostX.
• At least five years of experience with construction contracts, earned value management, and change-order or proposal negotiations.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time.
