Infrastructure & Capital Projects – Structural Engineer Associate – K-12, ANS

Location: Los Angeles, CA; onsite at client and partner sites

Salary: $161,000–$177,000 per year

What you will do

• Prepare, analyze, and review structural design plans, specifications, estimates, calculations, and engineering reports.
• Develop structural plans for foundations, floors, walls, roofs, concrete, steel, timber, masonry, and related building systems.
• Review consultant and architect services, project status, structural work quality, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Support contract administration, quality assurance planning, feasibility studies, preliminary designs, and construction cost estimates.
• Conduct site investigations and analyze environmental reports and soils data to recommend foundation designs.
• Provide structural recommendations to contractors, architects, engineers, and construction inspectors during construction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering or civil engineering with a specialization in structural engineering.
• Three years of full-time paid professional structural engineering experience.
• Ability to work onsite at client and partner locations in Los Angeles, California.
• Experience reviewing structural plans, specifications, mathematical calculations, and construction feasibility.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer certification recognized by the California Board of Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists.
• Experience with school building construction.
