Salary: $191,000 - $210,000 a year

What you will do
- Lead and direct design activities for school upgrade and critical repair projects as the primary design authority.
- Manage the overall design process to ensure compliance with functional, budgetary, environmental, and legal requirements.
- Oversee multiple projects from concept through final design review and handoff to execution teams.
- Ensure all building designs meet LAUSD standards, educational needs, and building code requirements.
- Establish procedures for selecting architectural firms and provide clear direction on project goals and schedules.
- Review and manage design changes to maintain budget control and ensure documentation accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 15+ years of professional experience in facilities design or capital project planning.
- 5+ years of experience specifically in the design, planning, and construction of K-12 educational facilities.
- Valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect (California State Architectural Board) or Professional Engineer (State Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors).
- Must be able to work on-site at client locations in Los Angeles.
