Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Phoenix, AZ or Albuquerque, NM; on-site with potential hybrid flexibility in the future. Limited travel to project sites.

What you will do

• Independently design and analyze complex structural components and systems, researching and implementing new methods with attention to constructability and efficiency.
• Manage project deliverables and, where applicable, serve as project manager for moderately complex projects with responsibility for execution.
• Guide junior engineers and technicians and provide technical leadership.
• Interpret structural analysis results, identify and resolve modeling errors, and contribute to lessons-learned initiatives.
• Apply applicable building codes and conduct construction site visits to resolve field issues.
• Use engineering software and, when required, Revit for analysis, design, modeling, detailing, and sheet setup; participate in design and construction meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related engineering field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant hands-on engineering experience; an MS degree may substitute for one year.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in at least one state.
• Strong technical judgment and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Working knowledge of structural analysis software and Revit.
• Ability to collaborate, communicate technical details clearly, take initiative, solve problems, and maintain professional relationships.
