Senior Structural Design Lead (Industrial & Capital Infrastructure)

Location: Hillsboro, Oregon 97124, United States; onsite field surveys are required.

Salary: $64,500; an additional compensation figure of $89,400 is also listed in the posting.

What you will do

• Lead complex structural layouts and translate design direction into precise 3D models and construction documentation.
• Create, coordinate, and publish structural models, plan sets, elevations, sections, and schedules.
• Act as the structural lead on multidisciplinary capital projects and oversee junior and intermediate designers.
• Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and process disciplines to resolve conflicts and ensure constructability.
• Perform onsite field surveys, submittal reviews, specification input, and high-level quality checks.
• Interface with project engineers, owners, and external stakeholders while supporting design meetings and project requirements.

Requirements

• Associate degree in CAD/Design or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six to ten years of structural design experience in a professional engineering consulting or industrial environment.
• Extensive proficiency in Revit and strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Expertise in Navisworks and Bluebeam for model review and clash coordination.
• Deep understanding of building codes, structural standards, industry practices, project scope, schedules, and budgets.
• Ability to perform onsite field surveys and coordinate structural design across multiple disciplines.

Nice to have

• Experience as an area lead or discipline lead on large-scale capital projects.
• Experience developing labor estimates and design effort forecasts.
• Experience with industrial, manufacturing, or heavy-infrastructure capital projects.
• Ability to resolve complex technical challenges and present solutions to clients.
