Sr Test Technician (Mining Equipment)

Location: Onsite in Sahuarita, Arizona, USA; travel and work in remote test locations may be required.

Salary: $68,000–$80,000 per year

What you will do

• Set up fixtures, components, and machines for engineering development and evaluation tests.
• Assemble and disassemble machine components for testing and inspection.
• Fabricate and assemble machine and test fixtures.
• Apply strain gauges for structural testing.
• Teardown, inspect, rebuild, and perform standard tests on machine and test components.
• Participate in the construction and maintenance of test roads and facilities while supporting numerous major test programs.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in a mechanical setting; construction or mining maintenance experience is preferred.
• Experience operating haul trucks, loaders, dozers, graders, or similar equipment.
• Ability to weld and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Strong knowledge of schematics and ability to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability and willingness to travel and work in remote locations, both supervised and unsupervised; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding field work.
