Protection Coordinator South Sudan Juba

Location: Juba, South Sudan; duty station in Juba with 80% travel.

What you will do

• Lead and oversee standalone and integrated protection programming in the Emergency Response and Rapid Movement context.
• Manage protection projects, including implementation plans, spending plans, procurement plans, budgets, documentation, and donor compliance.
• Directly supervise protection staff, provide technical guidance, support recruitment and onboarding, and build team capacity.
• Monitor implementation quality through field visits, protection risk monitoring, data analysis, reporting, and evaluation.
• Coordinate with government entities, UN agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders, and represent NRC in protection cluster and sub-cluster forums.
• Contribute to protection strategies, proposals, technical materials, advocacy, and promotion of the rights of IDPs and returnees.

Requirements

• Experience working in a humanitarian or recovery context, including in a protection role.
• At least three years of project management experience, including staff supervision and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Experience delivering technical capacity-building training and conducting monitoring, evaluation, and project reporting.
• Experience representing an international or national NGO and advocating for beneficiaries in public forums.
• University degree in social science, law, political science, or a related subject.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic or Kurdish is required.
