Child Protection Specialist

What you will do

• Lead technical oversight and coordination of child protection, safeguarding, online safety, and wraparound components of the RISE programme.
• Support situation analysis, policy advocacy, programme design, proposal development, and alignment with national and UN strategies.
• Manage monitoring, evaluation, reporting, resource use, field visits, and quality assurance for violence-against-children interventions.
• Provide technical guidance to government, NGO, UN, and other partners on multisectoral child protection programming.
• Build partnerships with government, civil society, academia, donors, private-sector organizations, and mobile network operators.
• Develop knowledge management and capacity-building initiatives, applying innovative child protection practices.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in international development, sociology, human rights, psychology, international law, social sciences, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of professional experience in child protection, humanitarian assistance, programme management, violence prevention, online safety, safeguarding, or related fields.
• Experience in programme management, partnership management, contextual analysis, and monitoring and evaluation.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Ability to work with government, NGO, UN, donor, and private-sector partners in complex programme environments.
• Willingness to comply with hirify.global background checks, medical clearance, and applicable vaccination requirements.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, or a local language.
• Experience in digital learning, online protection, and safeguarding.
• Country-level experience in development, fragile, or humanitarian contexts.
