Staff Recruiter

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco; in-person attendance required Tuesdays and Thursdays

Salary: $135,000–$185,000 annual Bay Area base pay, plus equity, benefits, and a company bonus program

What you will do

• Partner with senior leaders to identify talent gaps, define hiring profiles, and translate business priorities into focused recruiting strategies.
• Own complex full-cycle searches across functions and levels, including leadership and executive hiring, from intake and market mapping through assessment and closing.
• Build targeted sourcing strategies, engage passive candidates, and provide market insight when hiring expectations need adjustment.
• Advise hiring teams on role design, candidate calibration, interview quality, and closing strategy.
• Build scalable recruiting frameworks, tools, and operating practices that improve consistency, speed, candidate experience, and decision quality.
• Use AI and automation to redesign recruiting workflows and mentor recruiting teammates without formal people-management responsibility.

Requirements

• Strong track record owning complex full-cycle searches across functions and levels, including leadership or executive roles.
• Experience in executive search or agency recruiting and in a startup or hypergrowth company.
• Executive presence and business judgment to build trust with senior leaders, challenge assumptions, and guide high-stakes hiring decisions.
• Deep sourcing expertise, including market mapping, talent intelligence, personalized outreach, and passive-candidate engagement.
• Experience shaping recruiting strategy across multiple teams or business areas and improving recruiting tools, workflows, or practices.
• Strong project management and communication skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities while maintaining rigor and momentum.

• Active use of AI tools in recruiting workflows and interest in applying AI to talent acquisition.
• Ability to move between executive searches, high-priority individual contributor roles, and emerging business needs.
