Senior Technical Consultant (Data Protection)

Location: United States; remote, with travel to customer sites and up to 50% travel

What you will do

• Design, configure, deploy, modernize, and optimize enterprise data protection and backup environments.
• Implement solutions across Cohesity, Commvault, Rubrik, Dell Data Protection Suite, Veeam, cloud platforms, hypervisors, databases, and operating systems.
• Develop disaster recovery strategies, orchestration plans, and testing protocols.
• Tune performance and manage capacity across secure, resilient, multi-site backup infrastructures.
• Lead customer-facing delivery engagements, including status meetings, cutovers, escalations, knowledge transfer, and root cause analysis.
• Produce solution designs, implementation plans, operational procedures, and technical documentation while collaborating with project managers, architects, account teams, and customers.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience delivering enterprise data protection infrastructure in consulting, professional services, or complex customer environments.
• Expertise with Cohesity, Commvault, Rubrik, Dell Data Protection Suite, and comparable enterprise platforms.
• Experience with SAN implementation, interoperability analysis, and data protection integrations across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across multi-site environments, clouds, firewalls, hosts, connectivity, and supporting infrastructure.
• Knowledge of VMware, AI, Linux, Unix, and Windows; expertise in racking, stacking, and cabling hardware.
• Strong communication, presentation, diagramming, whiteboarding, storytelling, documentation, and independent prioritization skills.

Nice to have

• Relevant Data Protection certifications or willingness to obtain certifications required by the practice.
