TL;DR
Technical Program Manager (Robotics): Overseeing the planning, execution, and optimization of complex hardware, software, manufacturing test, and robot deployment projects with an accent on cross-functional coordination across engineering, manufacturing, product, and operations. Focus on defining roadmaps and milestones, removing technical roadblocks, streamlining development processes, and delivering robot upgrades and new features.

Location: Remote in the USA, British Columbia, Montreal, or Toronto

Salary: $150,000–$187,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

  • Define scope, timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk mitigation for hardware and software projects.
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, embedded, systems, manufacturing, software, product, operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Gather requirements, align priorities, communicate project status, and maintain cross-functional alignment.
  • Develop and improve workflows, project processes, sprints, and prioritization practices.
  • Identify technical roadblocks and drive continuous improvement across robot upgrades, product development, and feature delivery.
  • Create technical specifications, roadmaps, project plans, and status reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or another equivalent engineering discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in engineering program management or technical program management.
  • 3–5 years of experience with hardware, systems, or autonomous systems development processes.
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional projects and shipping product features in a production environment.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and communicate clearly with different audiences.
  • Experience building strong working relationships with senior leaders and engineers across functions.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or another equivalent engineering discipline.
  • Experience in robotics and autonomous systems, particularly products operating in public spaces.
  • Experience with products involving policy or regulatory considerations.
