Field Service Technician Level III

Location: Phoenix, United States. Occasional travel of up to 75% may be required to regional field offices, vendor sites, and customer job sites.

What you will do

• Perform advanced start-up, commissioning, installation, testing, troubleshooting, service, and repair of switchboards, control panels, power products, and related equipment.
• Install, modify, inspect, and support electrical and mechanical components, including circuit breakers, bus bars, control wiring, and power cabling.
• Lead or support high-priority field service activities, critical commissioning work, and escalated customer technical issues.
• Analyze system failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions in coordination with project managers, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and customers.
• Document service activities, parts usage, corrective actions, open items, and follow-up requirements.
• Provide technical guidance, shadowing, and on-the-job training to Level I and Level II technicians.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of related electrical, mechanical, technical, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, or field service experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience supporting switchgear start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, or related field service activities preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and field service concepts, including power distribution equipment.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, technical drawings, work instructions, and service documentation.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment safely, and follow PPE and electrical safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision, solve complex field problems, communicate technical updates, and accurately document corrective actions.
