IM and E Technician

Location: Onsite in Baltimore, Maryland, United States

Salary: $43.47 per hour plus a 10% bonus target

What you will do

• Maintain and repair electrical, electronic, pneumatic, instrumentation, and computerized control systems across Baltimore plant sites.
• Inspect, test, clean, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate instruments, control valves, switches, solenoids, motors, transformers, circuit breakers, and related equipment.
• Install and program electronic instruments, sensing elements, wiring, tubing, fittings, and programmable controllers.
• Test and analyze electrical power supply and control circuitry, interpret technical data, and implement precise repairs and modifications.
• Create and maintain diagrams, drawings, plans, work orders, and maintenance records.
• Perform preventive maintenance, follow environmental and safety procedures, work rotating shifts and mandatory overtime, and participate in rotating on-call coverage.

Requirements

• Technical or trade school degree in electronics, computer science, or equivalent industry training and experience.
• At least 2 years of progressive technician experience in a central plant, power generation facility, process plant, or similar environment.
• Ability to read logic diagrams, electrical and mechanical drawings, process flow diagrams, control and instrumentation diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Understanding of electrical safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Ability to work independently, perform basic computer operations, and use email.
• Valid driver license in good standing and ability to work onsite in an industrial plant environment, including confined spaces, heights, heat, and physical tasks involving up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with refrigeration and thermodynamics.
• Experience interpreting manufacturer manuals and drawings.
