Lead Developer Advocate (SQL/Data)

Location: Hybrid in London, Berlin, or Warsaw

What you will do

• Own and execute developer advocacy strategy for SQL development, analytics workflows, and the modern data stack.
• Create tutorials, quickstarts, blog posts, videos, workshops, code samples, best-practice guides, and onboarding assets.
• Design and maintain production-grade reference implementations and demos for analytics, BI, data transformation, and application development.
• Represent Snowflake at conferences, meetups, hackathons, webinars, and community events while engaging with developer communities across online platforms.
• Translate developer feedback, workflow gaps, and adoption blockers into actionable recommendations for product and engineering teams.
• Partner with product, engineering, marketing, sales, solutions engineering, education, and customer teams to scale enablement programs and track adoption metrics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in developer advocacy, developer relations, technical evangelism, solutions architecture, developer education, or similar hands-on technical roles.
• Senior individual-contributor experience with significant ownership, influence, and cross-functional leadership.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Deep familiarity with analytics engineering, data transformation, orchestration, APIs, SDKs, notebooks, BI tools, cloud data platforms, governance, observability, and performance optimization.
• Experience building demos, prototypes, reference applications, or production-oriented examples for analytics, BI, data applications, or modern data stack use cases.
• Strong technical communication, storytelling, community engagement, product judgment, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, BI platforms, semantic layers, or adjacent cloud data ecosystems.
• Experience creating enablement for SQL developers, analytics engineers, or modern data teams.
• Familiarity with open-source data tooling and developer workflows.
• Experience organizing hackathons, meetups, ambassador programs, or contributor communities.
• Background as a software engineer, data engineer, analytics engineer, solutions architect, or developer educator.
