Engineering Manager (AI): Leading the engineering team that builds and operates agentic AI solutions, including LLM integrations, plugins, evaluation frameworks, MCP-based orchestration, and usage analytics, with an accent on architecture, reliability, security, and compliance. Focus on hiring and coaching engineers, guiding complex AI system design, driving CI/CD and observability, and coordinating delivery across Product, business units, Security, and Compliance.

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $169,100–$235,700 per year depending on location, plus potential bonus and equity.

What you will do

Lead, coach, hire, and grow the AI Transformation engineering team.
Own the architecture, delivery, quality, reliability, and operational health of AI agents, plugins, skills, evaluation harnesses, integrations, and usage analytics.
Guide technical decisions for agentic workflows, LLM integrations, and MCP-based orchestration.
Set engineering standards for security, compliance, and auditability in a regulated financial-services environment.
Partner with Product, business units, Security, Compliance, and Enterprise AI Governance to deliver cross-functional initiatives and track adoption, quality, and velocity KPIs.
Improve CI/CD, observability, support processes, scalability, and technical-debt management.

Requirements

7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in technical leadership or management.
Hands-on experience building and shipping LLM-based or agentic AI products, including prompting, evaluations, agent frameworks, and MCP or similar orchestration.
Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, AWS or equivalent, API design, and modern CI/CD practices.
Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python.
Experience hiring, coaching, and developing engineers through changing scope.
Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills across Product, business units, Security, and Compliance.

Nice to have

Experience in a regulated environment such as fintech, lending, or payments.
Experience integrating AI or agentic tooling into the software development lifecycle.
