Plant Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Houston, Texas, USA — On-Site

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead a safe, reliable chemical manufacturing operation that meets quality and productivity targets.
• Drive EHS compliance, housekeeping, 5S+1, continuous improvement, and data-driven corrective actions.
• Manage operational and capital budgets, facility headcount, maintenance, reliability, and major change initiatives.
• Partner with Supply Chain on scheduling, raw material acquisition, distribution, and warehouse operations.
• Lead site recruitment, development, succession planning, employee relations, and merit pay administration.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Finance, HR, Marketing, Product Management, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience leading a manufacturing operation as a site leader.
• At least 10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to manage significant change, organizational development, and team building.
• Experience managing large and small capital projects.
• Proficiency in Quality Management Systems with demonstrated results.

Nice to have

• MBA in Operations Management, Finance, or Accounting.
• PSM experience and knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt and LEAN certification.
• Experience in distribution and warehouse operations.
