Plant Manager (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: Houston, Texas, USA; On-Site

Salary: $140,000–$180,000

What you will do

• Lead a safe, reliable Houston manufacturing operation that meets quality, productivity, and schedule attainment targets.
• Drive EHS compliance, safety culture, housekeeping, 5S+1, continuous improvement, and data-driven corrective actions.
• Manage operational and capital spending, facility headcount, maintenance, reliability, and capital projects.
• Lead site recruiting, hiring, development, succession planning, and employee concern resolution with HR.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance, HR, Marketing, Operations, Product Management, and other functions.
• Lead significant facility change to support regional sales growth, including new product introduction, scale-up, and raw material acquisition.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in a technical discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience leading a manufacturing operation as a site leader.
• At least 10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing.
• Demonstrated expertise managing significant change in a manufacturing operating environment.
• Demonstrated success in organizational development and team building.
• Experience managing both large and small capital projects.
• Proficiency in Quality Management Systems with demonstrated results.
• Ability to meet the role's physical requirements, including continuous visual and hearing demands, frequent sitting and hand movements, occasional standing and walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds.

Nice to have

• MBA in Operations Management, Finance, or Accounting.
• PSM experience.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP database management systems.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• LEAN certification.
• Experience in distribution and warehouse operations.
