Logistics Engineer (Supply Chain and Logistics)

Location: Griffin, Georgia, United States; onsite five days a week. Required travel is up to 10% domestically. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $89,210–$133,810 per year.

What you will do

• Lead logistics engineering projects that improve safety, capacity, productivity, warehouse automation, and operating costs.
• Design and optimize material flow, storage strategies, transportation methods, warehouse processes, and facility layouts.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, data analytics, simulation tools, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, quality, and safety teams to implement scalable logistics solutions.
• Develop process controls, standard work, engineering standards, capacity plans, and performance measurement systems.
• Conduct root cause analyses, implement corrective actions, evaluate emerging technologies, and train operational teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Ability to analyze data, identify root causes, solve operational problems, and develop effective alternatives.
• Accountability, flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to prioritize high-impact work.
• Experience leading logistics engineering initiatives in manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution environments.
• Knowledge of warehouse and distribution operations, material flow, inventory storage, capacity planning, and transportation optimization.

Nice to have

• Experience managing capital projects and implementing automated material handling systems, AMRs, ASRS, warehouse management technologies, or other Industry 4.0 solutions.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience developing engineering standards, process documentation, standard work, and logistics best practices.
