Characterization Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Characterize and verify power semiconductor devices, including SiC diodes, SiC MOSFETs, Schottky diodes, and IGBTs.
• Study device specifications and define characterization and verification plans for complete functional coverage.
• Develop test specifications and collaborate with design engineers and product definition teams.
• Execute electrical measurements, collect and analyze data, report failures, and support corrective actions.
• Develop or operate characterization setups and automated test environments.
• Lead design verification reviews and prepare technical reports, data sheets, and design documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience creating verification plans, test benches, and automated parameter testing solutions.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, parameter analyzers, PXI systems, or similar laboratory instrumentation.
• Knowledge of measurement circuit and test setup design, PCB design principles, power electronics, and fast di/dt and dV/dt switching events.
• Experience with thermal measurements and JEDEC standards for thermal characterization, including Rth/Zth; programming or scripting skills in Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, C/C++, C#, or MS Office tools.
