What you will do

• Define requirements and develop specifications for the chemical analysis process in collaboration with Applications and R&D teams.
• Conceptualize and design new devices, defining requirements, gaps, error budgets, and constraints.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate device designs and material compatibility with application chemistry.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering groups to review designs and troubleshoot system issues.
• Support internal and external customers in implementing processes and optimizing tool performance.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Totowa, NJ.
• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related work experience OR a Master's degree.
• Proficiency in scientific/statistical analysis tools such as Python, Matlab, or LabView.
• Strong background in engineering or physical sciences (e.g., physics, material science, mechanical/electrical engineering).
• Understanding of fiber-optic, fluidic, electromechanical, and software control systems.
• Willingness to work in chemical labs and cleanrooms.

Nice to have

• Experience in microfluidic systems and dispensing.
• Knowledge of spectrophotometry or fiber-optics.
