Focus on designing production layouts, conducting time studies and line balancing, leading cross-functional improvement projects, and deploying capable Lean processes.

Location: Tempe, Arizona, United States; onsite 5 days per week

Salary: $83,200–$124,800 USD per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

  • Optimize manufacturing flow, eliminate capacity constraints, and improve operational performance using the hirify.global Performance System.
  • Design operation sequences, manufacturing layouts, and process changes to improve equipment and personnel utilization.
  • Document process and touch times, support capacity models and simulations, and identify improvements required for future demand.
  • Conduct time studies, line balancing, and cost-benefit analyses to improve productivity, reduce costs, and minimize inventory.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams and deliver continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma, A3, and DMAIC methods.
  • Support NPD/AME projects, deploy capable processes and Lean tooling, establish the One-Best-Way, and coach Yellow Belt candidates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of relevant engineering experience, or a master’s degree with no prior relevant engineering experience.
  • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at the time of hire and throughout employment.
  • U.S. work authorization sponsorship is not available for this position; sponsorship is limited to Principal-level roles and above.
  • For bachelor’s degrees earned outside the United States, the degree must satisfy the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
  • Ability to work onsite and interact independently with computers, peers, and coworkers.

Nice to have

  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or equivalent.
  • Advanced Lean certification or equivalent, or Lean Sigma Green Belt training or certification.
  • Cross-functional business experience and experience leading continuous improvement programs in manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities in the Gemba and across value streams.
  • Track record of delivering results through continuous improvement.
