Fabrications Team Lead II (Welding)

Location: Sanford, North Carolina, United States; onsite work across Monday–Friday shifts. Domestic relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $28.35–$35.45 per hour. Second- and third-shift roles include an 8% shift premium.

What you will do

• Lead fabrication and welding activities in assigned work areas.
• Perform assembly operations using work-area tools and lifting devices for components weighing more than 35 lbs.
• Train new employees and develop existing team members.
• Serve as the liaison between team members and section managers and answer job-function questions.
• Monitor daily team PQVC metric boards and provide input on build and schedule adjustments.
• Identify inventory, manpower, and build-schedule issues and communicate solutions to management.

Requirements

• Previous fabrication and welding experience.
• Intermediate Standard Work experience and the ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of fabrication and welding procedures, quality requirements, and build requirements.
• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods, perform repetitive operations, and lift up to 35 lbs.

Nice to have

• Ability to perform all work-cell duties in the assigned area, including Welder 3 functions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting and repairing defects.
• Leadership and manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of fabrication and welding tools and cutting processes.
